  Photo Safari

Photograph wildlife such as Bald Eagles, Common Loons, Moose, Beaver, Ducks and Geese and other wildlife along the lake or at other spots in the Maine Woods.

No other area in the Northeast affords you more opportunity to view wildlife with little or no vehicle and boat traffic.

Moose can be seen almost anywhere in Northern Maine in backyards and along the roads. We have miles and miles of logging roads where they travel. Late afternoon through early evening is ideal for finding moose feeding along roadsides and in rivers and ponds. Early mornings (5:00 a.m.) are best on the lake and rivers to view and photograph moose. Moose are highly unpredictable when crossing highways and when close to people on foot. We recommend staying at least 75 feet from moose. If you find yourself in trouble remember you cannot outrun a moose; get behind a tree or protective obstacle, make lots of noise and never try to pat a baby moose. The best safety advice is to be alert; if you see a moose, keep your distance.

For safe wildlife watching, we offer photographic safaris and take you to the best areas for viewing. We spend quite a bit of time on the lake and in the woods and we know where the best areas are for finding wildlife to photograph.
